Trade Publishing

Epigram Books is always on the lookout to publish new stories for readers. We accept manuscripts and proposals through Submittable, a submissions management system that helps us receive, manage, evaluate and reply to writers and creators like you more efficiently.

Submit your manuscripts here.

Before you submit your manuscript, you may want to refer to our Notes on Formatting and Punctuation.

As we receive many manuscripts, please give our editorial team time to read and assess your manuscript. The process may take some time, but we are committed to keeping it under six months.

We will inform you of your manuscript status when we have thoroughly assessed its publishing potential. In the meantime, we will contact you only if we have any additional questions about you or your manuscript.

However, if you do not hear from us within six months, you may assume that we are not keen to publish your manuscript at this point in time.

We discourage sending hard copy manuscripts—an electronic submission will suffice. While necessary care will be exercised, Epigram Books assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage of materials received (sent electronically or otherwise). Please always ensure that you have kept a copy for yourself; we practice a zero-return policy.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to reading your manuscript.

Epigram Books Fiction Prize

It is given for the best manuscript of a full-length, original and unpublished novel written in the English language or original English translation. The winner of the EBFP will receive S$25,000. It is open to Southeast Asian citizens or permanent residents, and the competition is now open for entries.
