“Sherlock Sam is an approachable, fun and easy read that has everything you could ask for in a mystery story: a robust cast of unique and interesting characters, a chase scene, and just the right level of solvability (that is to say, the reader CAN solve the case before the detective, but it’s not easy!) The bonus materials are great too. Fingers crossed: I’m hoping for a deluxe edition of Sherlock Sam that comes with a Four Square ball, sidewalk chalk, and all the ingredients I need to make Horchata!”
—Blake Henry, illustrator of Chronal Engine: A Prehistoric Time-Travel Adventure
“Sherlock Sam and Watson are set to become one of Singapore’s favourite detective duos! Watson’s deadpan one-liners had me laughing out loud.”
—Emily Lim, award-winning author of Tibby, the Tiger Bunny and Prince Bear & Pauper Bear
“If a genius kid and his robot sidekick solving mysteries presses any of your buttons, Sherlock Sam will be the find of the year for you. (This is) one of the sharpest, funniest books you’ll read all year.”
—Hal Johnson, author of Immortal Lycanthropes
“The main plot itself is engaging and exciting with no drop in pace and is perhaps the most dramatic and clever story yet. In addition, it is written in such a way that both children and adults can enjoy it together. Especially if you’re geeks!”
—Peter Lin, Here Be Geeks
