From the bronze Corpus Christi that overlooks the parish in the Church of Saint Mary of Angels, to the Buddha Maitreya that resides in the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, the iconic façade of the Al-Ansar Mosque and the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple’s Lord Krishna, artist Marcos Buinhas’ twenty illustrations celebrate Singapore’s multi-cultural identity as a melting pot of religious diversity with great reverence and painstaking intricacy.

Printed on high quality paper, the pages in this book can be individually removed and framed.

  • Marco Buinhas is a Portuguese-born artist. He first received his diploma in architecture in 1994, and later attained a Master of Arts degree in architectural and cinema theory in 2000.

Marco’s strong background in design has led him to work with some of the most prestigious international offices on a wide range of competitions, projects and achievements that have spanned Europe, Africa, China and the Middle East.

He has been an invited professor at the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal) and a lecturer at the Facoltà di Architettura di Alghero (Sassari, Italy). As a researcher, he contributes regularly to scientific publications and magazines with theoretical essays and writings.

Now based in Singapore, his drawings and illustrations, mixed media artworks and graphic novel projects can be found at www.marcobuinhas.com.
