Make a Satur-date with Authors this April!

This month, we’re giving you a chance to get close and personal with our new authors, Linda Locke, Diana Gale and Ning Cai.

SINGAPORE'S NATIONAL FLOWER

Celebrating the 125th anniversary of Singapore’s National Flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim; this month, we’re holding a special book launch this Saturday for our brand new book, Agnes and Her Amazing Orchid: How Vanda Miss Joaquim Became Singapore’s National Flower.  The launch will feature a story-telling session with book’s co-author Linda Locke, as she shares how Vanda Miss Joaquim was created by Agnes Joaquim, who is Linda’s great-grandaunt.

There will also a special craft activity for children where they can make their own paper orchid while learning about flowers, a face-painting session, and as a treat, kids can take home their very own orchid balloon, too! Also, Singapore Mint will also be showcasing its newly created orchid medallion series — and yes, you can order your own set!

DETAILS7 April, 10.30am, at Singapore Botanic Gardens’ Green Pavilion (where the Botany Centre is located). Admission is FREE.
