Last call for the Textures 2018 open call

Calling all aspiring authors!

This is a shout-out to say that it’s your last chance to register a one-on-one consultation with editors from Math Paper Press, Epigram Books, and Marshall Cavendish.

This part of The Arts House’s programme for the 2018 edition of Textures, the initiative that takes place from 9 to 11 March (it’s hailed as “a weekend of words”) and “celebrates the power and beauty of words”.

The open call invites all aspiring writers to submit manuscripts for poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. Writers who have existing manuscripts and are looking to get feedback on how to improve their work are “highly encouraged to apply”.

All manuscripts submitted will be reviewed by The Arts House and up to five (that’s 5!) manuscripts from each genre will be selected and submitted to the respective editors who will review them, and provide relevant feedback and advice during the session.

Each selected manuscript will be given a 30-minute long one-on-one consultation for a fee of $25.

But you have to hurry! The closing date for submissions is 5 JANUARY 2018, 11.59PM.
